Free Government Grants For Homeowners
Accredited and Award Winning Service
Trusted & Highly Trained Installers
The Initial Assessment
Installers UK will first need to carry out an on-site evaluation of your interior wall insulation. This provides us with the ability to provide a targeted solution. Here are some of the variables which will be addressed:
- A thorough assessment of the location in question.
- The presence of damp and/or mould.
- Any possible building regulations.
- Ventilation issues that might also be present.
Once we have taken a closer look at the insulation between your walls, we will then determine if you are eligible for a government grant. These programmes are intended to cover the cost of the installation project itself; an obvious concern if you are on a limited budget. Once the funding is processed, our team will get right to work.
Installing cavity wall insulation is one of the most effective improvements you can make to your property’s energy efficiency, improving your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.
- 33% of heating is lost through uninsulated cavity walls
- 25-year CIGA Guarantee for all installations
- Free Government grants available
A Quick Look at Your Free Cavity Wall Insulation Options
As you might have imagined, these grants are extremely popular for those who are not able to pay the costs associated with a normal installation service. There are two main options at your disposal:
- The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.
- The Local Authorities (LA FLEX) scheme.
It is still important to find out whether or not you qualify for these programmes. This is why it is a good idea to book a free survey with the team at Installers UK. We will provide you with additional guidance and clarity in order to decide which scheme might be appropriate. Let’s also remember that one of our free surveys will help to identify which areas of your home may be losing a substantial amount of heat. This will help you to understand why cavity insulation could be the best option.
How We Help
First and foremost, our highly qualified surveyors can visit your home for free at a time and date to suit you. During this free survey, our team will be able to recommend energy saving measures and ascertain whether you and your property is eligible for grants funded by the UK ECO3 or LA Flex schemes.
Do you qualify?
- ECO Funding for those on qualifying benefits
- Local Authorities Flex Funding Scheme for non-benefit households
- Available for Homeowners and rented households
- FREE survey and quotes
The Day When Internal Insulation is Installed
Once we arrive at your home, our professionals will use a process that essentially injects a material in the spaces between your walls. This insulation is made up of small polystyrene beads (known as EPS beads). The spaces between the beads provide a thermal barrier between rooms (and between the interior of your home and the outside environment). The good news is that the process itself is straightforward. The length of time will normally depend upon how many wall cavities need to be upgraded. However, many projects can be completed within a single day. Keep in mind that we can address difficult-to-reach areas such as loft walls and locations around a conservatory.
The Benefits of Obtaining New Internal Wall Insulation
There are many advantages for you to enjoy. For example, modern internal wall insulation can last for the lifespan of your home. This is why Installers UK provides a 25-year CIGA warranty for all of our installation projects. As if this guarantee were not enough, it has also been shown that the addition of modern internal insulation can save you up to £200 each year in terms of energy costs. So, it only stands to reason that determining if you qualify for a grant is important.
Once you get the green light and your grant application is successful, our approved insulation installers can transform the energy efficiency of your home, with the highest standards of workmanship. All our installations are monitored by Kiwa’s Cavity Wall Installer Scheme, ensuring all materials and installers are suitable for your property.

It makes little sense to put off a cavity wall insulation project if you are able to obtain government aid. This is the very same reason why thousands of property owners have already chosen to work with the experts at Installers UK.
Reduce your heating bill for free
The UK’s insulation grants, such as ECO scheme, are government schemes funded by the UK’s largest utility companies, including the so-called ‘Big Six’. These companies are duly obliged to offer grants that can help those in need to enhance the energy efficiency of their homes for good, without costing you a penny.
The grants available with the ECO scheme and LA Flex funding tend to cover many different types of insulation, depending on your property age and type. This includes cavity wall and loft insulation, as well as first time central heating and boiler replacements.
How is the Boiler Grant free?
New A-rated boiler grants are also offered as part of the ECO scheme, helping households with the opportunity for inefficient boilers to be replaced completely free of charge, or heavily subsidised.
Providing your boiler is more than five-years-old or deemed as faulty and a homeowner, you should be eligible for a new A-rated boiler, installed by Registered GAS SAFE and Governments Trustmark installer and will come with a guarantee.
For older and more in-efficient properties, grant funding is more likely to cover full costs. If you have a very efficient property, You may need to contribute a small amount to cover the cost of the boiler install this will advised to you before any works are carried out.
How long does installation take?
Most properties can have cavity wall and loft insulation installed in just a few hours, although larger households may require an entire day for installation.
In order to qualify for any of the available government grants, you will need to prove that you are the legal owner of the property, if renting permission will be required from landlord or managing agent, first and foremost .
Secondly, you will need to be in receipt of at least one of the following benefits:
Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Child Benefit (please note that most children under 16 years of age are entitled to £20 p.w child benefit), Employment and support allowance (income-related), Personal independence payment, Jobseeker’s allowance, (Income-based) Income Support, Disability Living Allowance, Income Support,Pension Credit (Guarantee), Child Tax Credit, Working tax credit,Universal credit, Armed Forces Independence Payment, Constant Attendance Allowance, Industrial injuries disablement benefit, Mobility supplement, Severe disablement allowance, War Pension Mobility Supplement.

Benefits of cavity wall insulation
Cavity wall insulation requires the installation of insulating material in the cavity (space) between two layers of brick. This can be done at the time of a build or as a retrofit measure. Here are five key benefits to cavity wall insulation that you might be able to receive without having to spend a penny of your hard-earned money:
- Available for free if you qualify for government ECO or LA FLEX grant schemes
- Keep more of your property’s heat that is lost through uninsulated walls
- Maintaining a good temperature for your home offers comfort and health benefits
- Cavity wall insulation helps reduce your property’s carbon footprint
- Cavity wall insulation is quick and simple to retrofit when you choose an approved installer like Installers UK
Cavity walls Vs Solid walls: What’s the difference?
- Properties built after the 1920s typically have cavity walls. The cavity is the gap created by two walls of brick.
- Older properties built circa pre-1920s most commonly have solid brick or stone walls with no cavity.
Typically, properties built up to 2002 and beyond will already have cavity wall insulation, but properties older than that are unlikely to have cavity wall insulation whatsoever.
That’s where we are able to help.
We’re trained, qualified and monitored installers
At Installers UK, we have trained, highly-skilled cavity wall insulation installers approved by Governments Trustmark, Green Deal scheme and CIGA.
All our installations are initially monitored by KIWA – the cavity wall surveillance scheme that determines whether your property is suitable for the insulation.
All our installers are qualified to use Energy Store Superbead Carbon Saver BAW-18/070/02/A (see the BBA certificate in the downloadable link).
How much can you save on your energy bills?
Using data from the Energy Saving Trust, we’ve put together this graph below to show how much a typical cavity wall and/or loft installation could save on your energy bill (£/year).
